Europe starts antitrust proceedings with Google over Android

Europe starts antitrust proceedings with Google over Android: "The day Google feared has finally come: The European Commission has filed formal charges against the search giant for anticompetitive behavior related to Android. The European Union's commissioner for competition, Margrethe Vestager, has been officially probing the platform, trying to establish whether Google was abusing its dominant position in the market by preventing or hindering competitors from developing Android forks, rival applications and services."
Nokia (and Symbian) had possibly a 20-year head start in mobile and they squandered it. The solution: blame Google. It's redonkulous. The same is true of Blackberry, which still owns the worlds most advanced OS kernel: QNX.

Everything Google is rumored to announce at its I/O dev conference this week | VentureBeat | Dev | by Harrison Weber
After months and months of rumors, we got our first look at Google’s upcoming Photos service yesterday. Most importantly, the upcoming (and still technically unconfirmed) service won’t be baked into Google+ — this, in turn, fuels rumors that Google has lost faith in its floundering social network.

New from Google, it's Photos!

iOS 7 adoption ‘much slower’ than iOS 6, ad network says | VentureBeat

iOS 7 adoption ‘much slower’ than iOS 6, ad network says | VentureBeat - The most likely one is simply that iOS 7 is a much bigger update than iOS 6 was. It changes more, it looks significantly different, and it affects how iPhone owners use their devices much more than iOS 6 did.

I was going to throw out iOS 6 dev but I am rethinking it.
