Camera Made From Cardboard, Legos and Duct Tape Creates Vintage Looking Imagery | Inhabitat - Sustainable Design Innovation, Eco Architecture, Green Building: "Inspired by traditional photography, designer Dominique Vankan has created a working camera from LEGOs and duct tape! With the process of Autochrome Lumiere in mind, Vankan used everyday materials to recreate a now almost-obsolete mechanism. The images produced are gorgeously flawed, celebrating the art form of photography from the pre-Instagram era."

No need for vintage camera emulation, this camera is analog.

Older iPhones Still Selling Like, Well, iPhones - John Paczkowski - Mobile - AllThingsD: "Apple is selling iPhone 5s as fast as it can make them, but it’s still selling a bunch of older iPhones as well. And to see that, one need only look at Verizon’s latest earnings."

I love the way FotoRoids look on the new iPhone but I prefer the sturdier feel of the 4s. However, for the next generation of iPads I am looking forward to a significantly lighter model because I find the iPad 2 tiring to hold when reading.

Innovation Imagination: 50 Years of Polaroid Photography by Barbara Hitchcock
When Edwin Land invented instant photography more than 50 years ago, he offered this thought on his scientific breakthrough: "The purpose of inventing instant photography was essentially aesthetic--to make available a new medium of expression to numerous individuals who have artistic interest in the world around them." Having hired Ansel Adams in 1948 to test the limits of this new medium, Land was clearly committed to his science as a tool of the visual arts. This volume gives us a selective look at the Polaroid Collection, established in the 1960s to honor the works of artists using instant photography."
